We are all humans.

At Shallows Studio, we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone.

As we deal in beauty and tattoo the services we provide don’t need to be gendered, nor do they need to priced differently.

We believe in equality for all.

We don’t ask for pronouns upfront and use they/them pronouns by default unless clients specify otherwise.

This is because that some non-binary and trans clients have reported to us they may prefer not to be asked their pronouns; as it can cause dysphoria or discomfort related to concerns about “passing.”

If you wish to have your pronouns attached to your appointment please use the forms drop down options. If you’d like to include them and the service provider does not include pronouns as an option we encourage you to write your pronouns next to your name.

As a curated community of independent businesses, we try to carefully select artists and professionals who share our LGBTQIA+ values. However, each business operates independently, so we recommend reaching out directly to your chosen artist or professional if you have specific questions or concerns to ensure your experience is as affirming and comfortable as possible.

Do you accept walk-ins?

Yes, Monday–Sunday (12 PM–7 PM), on a first-come, first-serve basis. Call ahead to check availability.

  • Avoid alcohol and dehydration 24 hours prior.
  • If you have long term or chronic health conditions please check with your doctor if you need a ‘fit-note’ to get tattooed.
